Safety in Goa ( Candolim).

Hi folks,

How safe is it for single female traveller in Candolim?
I'm a well travelled mature lady intending to go in Feb. next year. Staying at Pheonix Park Hotel maybe.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.,

you will be fine, Candolem is for the more mature crowd and Calangut [ the next town] for the younger generation, though its safe to go there daytime for a looksee and some shopping. Its pretty safe at night too no muggings or anything like that, its just drunk/drugged touriste who get conned. Try Bon Appetite beach restaurant in Candolim its down near the Fort, excellent food and service and you can walk back along the beach.
Dont forget to visit the Spice Fields but stay away from the crocodile park, they atrract too manymosquitos.
Enjoy your stay, we have a house there and love it.
