No quite sure why Disco Fever implies that condensing combi boiler's are the best thing out. Granted they are the most common fitted boiler in the UK. But they are usually fitted because they are cheap, easy to install and if sized correctly will provide adequate hot water to limited outlets. So not so bad for the smaller home with one bathroom and a shower.
By far the best installation is to fit a condensing system boiler married up with an unvented cylinder. This will provide you with very econominal heating and also ample mains pressure hot water to multiple bathrooms, showers en'suits etc...compaired to a combi boiler.
I would recomend that if you opt for the combination boiler you get the biggest one you're budget allow's and do not buy cheap !!! The Worcester Greenstar 37i been one of the best combi boilers out there. If you opt for the system boiler go for the Worcester Greenstar system boiler.
Best Boilers to buy are .... Worcester boilers or Vailllant boilers. Middle road boilers not too bad are Baxi boilers or Vokera, or Glow-Worm boilers. Boilers to avoid are RavenHeat, Raidiant, Biasi and Alpha boilers.
