A world without money?
26 Answers
This is just one of the odd questions that pop into my mind every now and again, but what do you think the world would be like if there was no such thing as money?
I realise that the reality is that if there was no money, then we would have something else that we deem to have a certain value to get through life, but just for the purpose of my general wondering, lets say that isn't the case.
Would we all be running around blind and naked and eating fruit from the trees/ground and killing cattle ourselves, in a world that has not evolved?
Or?

Specialization enables individuals to focus their abilities on doing specific tasks better than if everyone had to learn how to do everything in a sufficiently proficient manner.

Those who provide what is wanted most at the best price are assured of the value of their time and efforts by the payment they receive from those who show their appreciation of that value freely.
It is only those who want something for nothing or wish to take without giving an equal value in return who despise the token of value that money represents.

Eutopia and equality just isn't going to happen LOL.
p.s. How does the animal kingdom get on without money?? Do they have things they place value on in order to survive?

Other animals that have not yet evolved a conceptual level of consciousness have difficulty with thinking beyond the range of the moment and have little choice but to follow their instinctual programming. Although somewhat effective this method of survival does not afford them the luxury of time to ask and answer questions nor for figuring out change and tips.
