Gas Fire keeps going out
3 Answers
My gas fire keeps going out. I have to light it with a match, it stays alight for a little while, then goes out. I think the igniter and the fire going out are two different problems, but I can live with using matches, I just want it to stay alight! My friend says he thinks it could be the probe, any other ideas?

Either way a simple service will sort it out and while the gasman is there he can test the thermocouple and replace it if it is required. He also will check the ignition, more often than not it is another simple adjustment of the electrode or just a loose connection.
