I have thought of an opening gambit, but need ladies views first.

It is of my opinion that within the confines of a speed date, women are in fact in competition with eachother.

Further, it is VERY common for women to be bitchy about other women behind their backs................

so.................

would it be appropriate if I am faced with an attractive women to say something along the lines of............

"I hope you realise and appreciate you are the only decent looking girl here. My God did you see the blonde/brunette/redhead (etc) sitting over there. Christ, she looked like prostitute on crack"

Or would any decent bird see me as a scathing oaf not worthy of anything more than polite chatter?

I went about a year ago and managed to pulll some posh totty in London. Out of twenty birds, 6 chose me which is not a bad return I suppose.

Sadly I chose 5 with only one direct match. She turned out to be a bit of an old dog, if truth be told.
lol

whatever happened to the old fashioned meeting of eyes across a crowded room

nothing quite like it

Weeal, one has to be realistic.

ALL my friends are married!!!!

ALL my female friends have tried and failed to play cupid.

I work with males only

I do not go to discos.

I refuse to pay for a Russian or other equally foul woman.

What is a man to do?
Im in the very same boat as you are

dunno the answer im afraid
I would be very wary of a man who spoke like that in conversation to me at a first meeting!!!

I would consider him disrespectful to women!
I dont get into the realms of competing with other women, I also wouldnt appreciate a bloke b!tching like an old woman about the other women there.

chances are he would be the type to b!tch about me behind my back too.
I agree with funnygirl and cazzz above.... definitely a no-no in my book, you would come across (to me anyway) as rather superficial and only interested in someone's looks, rather than what they were like as a human being.
... and you call women 'birds'
Iff any chap, used a line like that with me i would assume that he lacks the ability to hold a decent conversation,
And that would end the date before it started,
although from what you say, a man would himself have to be a good looker before he could even make such a remark,
why do all men think they are gods gift to women.
Hehe... Abdul... somehow I don't think this particular gambit of yours is going to go down too well..... back to the drawing board matey !
