Beatles were a one off and their songs difficult
for other people to sing, who do you think does
a good version of a Beatles number!!

Joe Cocker's 'With A Little Help From My Friends' is magnificent.

The other end of the scale is Wet Wet Wet's version, which proves a song can be fantastic and pantstastic quite easily.

Best covers I can think of were Siouxsie & The Banshees, 'Dear Prudence', and Suggs, 'I'm Only Sleeping'.

Good Beatles covers are a rare thing IMHO, but I'd nominate these:

Here Comes The Sun - Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel

Here There And Everywhere - Emmylou Harris

Rocky Racoon - Andy Fairweather Low

And there's one which I think is actually better than the Beatles' version

I Wanna Be Your Man - Rolling Stones
