Did the Child Catcher actually sing a song in the film, or did he just prance about saying something about lollipops....? If he DID sing a song, does anyone know what it's called...?

Thanks for your help

I think he did just prance about shouting "Cheeeeeeldrennnnnn.........lollipops", I've googled and can't find anything.  He was and still is the scariest person on TV.  He puts Freddie Kruger to shame that's for sure.

Thank you both for confirming my suspicions...and yes, he was even scarier tha Raggety from Rupert the Bear!! hahaha

No song but he does do a funky jig. He scared the mf-ing bejeezus out of me (and still does). It's one of my all time favourite films though. <p>

Truly a masterpiece. Did you know it was written by Ian Flemming (of James Bond fame)?

No one's mentioned:

'Grow the roses! Those rosy roses!

From the ashes of disaster grow the roses of success!'

or my personal favourite:

A gentle breeze from Hushabye Mountain

Softly blows o'er lullaby bay.

It fills the sails of boats that are waiting--

Waiting to sail your worries away.

It isn't far to Hushabye Mountain

And your boat waits down by the key.

The winds of night so softly are sighing--

Soon they will fly your troubles to sea.

So close your eyes on Hushabye Mountain.

Wave good-bye to cares of the day.

And watch your boat from Hushabye Mountain

Sail far away from lullaby bay.
