Jobs for 14 year old

I was asking around for jobs, and my local florist said i had to be 16 to work there. Why was this? And where can i find saturday jobs?

Probably because their are laws about employing children. You are onlu allowed to do certain types of work and you are only allowed to work for 5 hours on a Saturday.

You need to be 16 and have a National Insurance number to be able to work.

You can get away with cash in hand paid jobs (barber and a paper round) but not much else until your 16. Its the law

my nephew works as a bottle boy in a local pub on saturday mornings...think he gets �3.50/hour and works from 10 until 1....
might be worth a try?

Go to your local council offices.They`ll give you a leaflet telling you where you can work and for how many hours.

Last year a young lad ...Very plesent not a wee thug knocked the door said he was looking to do some extra work ....To raise money But for himself.
Can I do some work for you ...Can I cut your Grass for you I asked how much would it cost.
He quoted �3.00.
I have a large Garden .
The wee guy done a great job and i asked im to do it every week Gave him �5 every time .
most of the Neighbours done the same.
I was happy and the Neighbours were the same.
Better still.
He used our own Lawnmores.
As he did not have one himself....Wish i was as wise as he is at his age...LOL
