How do you skip your period on birth control?

Assuming you mean the pill, I am told you should just start a new pack immediately after finishing the previous one. Don't do it too often though and you should confirm with your GP first.

BenDToy is correct. You simply carry on with a new packet when you finish your current one. There is no harm in doing so as you are not effectively having a real period. You should not however do it more than once in a row (so 6 weeks shoud be the maximum) as this can lead to you feeling all bloated and crappy.

I think it depends which 'Pill' you're on. Some you can just start the next packet, but I think with others you have to start halfway through the next packet. I'd double-check with your GP or Family Planning Clinic beforehand - might be safer!!

I found out by doing some research that if one is on a birth control pill that has the same amount of estrogen in each pill till day 22, the best way to skip a period is to just skip the last week of the pack and start on day 22 with a new pack...BUT if a person is taking Tri Ortho-Cyclen they should skip right to the light or dark blue pills on day 22 of another pack.
