My `Old Dutch` say`s she put disenfectant in and gave it a short spin then changed her powder to one beginning with `D` and ending with Z. No problems since.
its normally the rubber that reeks or theres a puddle of water sat on top of the rubber. mine used to do it as well. although mine was a servis, after each use i would get a teacloth or towel and just wipe the top of the rubber where the fold is (theres a little hole which allows the water to drain off the rubber which sometimes blocks as its so small) and at every opportunity i would leave the door wide open to dry it out! theres nothing worse then a washing machine that reeks! hope ive helped. you could aslo try putting some washing powder in and doing a boil wash just to maybe clear that hole and clean the rest of the drum out!
Try pouring half a bottle of milton sterilizer into you draw and put it on a short wash, this should sort the problem out and it's not as harsh as bleach,i use this for lots of things,ie put it into my water feature outside,it stops all the algie growing, also for cleaning bathroom tiles where the grout has gone black with damp.
