Not what it says!

Has anyone else noticed that a question might say '5 answers' on it, but when you actually go to that question, it only has say, 3?

I've noticed it before - one of my questions I posted a few days ago says 1 answer on it, when actually it has no answers.  I just wondered if anyone else has noticed it?

I have a couple of times and I think is is to do with answers being banned/deleted BUT the number of answers listed for the question doesn't get up dated.

I have noticed it too; but there is so much indiscriminate banning going on that i suppose it is more noticeable at the moment.

I noticed this ages ago & put it down to transferred or banned questions.

I just assumed that it took a while for things to be updated, and that answers that had been removed were not removed from the total.

Oh yeah, I didn't think of them having been banned.  Typical...I waited ages to get an answer to one of my questions, and then it goes and gets banned!!
