Men who cry.
16 Answers
Whilst I appreciate that men have moved on from the stiff upper British lip (much to my dismay at times) and their "feminine" side comes through in many social situations, does the modern woman really like men to express their emotions by way of tears?
Don't get me wrong there is no shame in crying if a loved one departs, or they receive a kick to the knackers, but when they cry at movies, sad news stories and weddings, I find it all very embarrassing. And I am not talking about gaylords!!
So be honest ladies, whilst you appreciate men can cry, do you really want yours to??
Not exactly fitting in with the image of the male as the protector or alpha partner is it?

I've had to speak in public twice about very personal things, and he was sitting in the audience (for want of a better word.) He didn't cry, but he said he was close to it both times. I'd have been worried if he'd felt nothing.

I was trying to think of a circumstance where a man had cried in public and thought of Frank Bruno on crying on Wogan on satellite link when he in was in the States to fight Tyson. Wogan brought on his daughters and he shed several manly tears as he hadn't seen them in a while.
And then I thought.....Frank Bruno? Hmmmm

I defy any man unless he is made of stone not to cry if they would come with me to visit the local kids hospice I go to, every time I leave that place I shed a few tears, these kids are never sad or down yet they are not going to be here much longer it is very humbling, call me a wuss call me what ever you want, it gets me very single time, and I am no soft touch, I have been involved in some very dodgy things, but I admit this gets me.
My ex never once cried when we were together, never even showed any signs of emotion actually, not when I was pregnant and not when our son was born and certainly not when he was telling me he didn't think he loved me anymore.
He is a robot and I'm so glad I'm not with him anymore.
I want a bloke who can talk about how he feels and I don't want another emotionally stunted neanderthal.
Hmmmm, now where can I find me one of them? :)

Hi Mr Ben, I know what you mean, I don't cry at soft things like films or similar, it is just this one thing that really gets me, maybe it is because these kids are so happy yet they all know what is happening to them, they are amazing examples to us all.
