. Encryption in the Router is now set. Each of your computers on your wireless network will now need to be configured with the same security settings.

WARNING: If you are configuring the Wireless Router or Access Point from a computer with a wireless client, you will need to ensure that security is turned on for this wireless client. If this is not done, you will lose your wireless connection.

I'm not totally dumb just computer illiterate.
Can someone explain this in simple terms so that I understand what to do?
Thanks!!!

This means that you have now turned on the excrypted password to access your wireless router. If you do not use an encrypted password from the computer trying to access the router, it will not be able to connect and therefore will not be able to access your broadband connection.

Thanks tigersam.
I think I've got it now!!!
So someone with a laptop will just need to put in the password I set to get on line, they don't need to put in the 26 hex keys, have i got it right?
if they are to connect wirelessly, they will need to have the encrypted password. If they connect via a LAN cable then they can use the internet connection but will not be able to access the router.

I would strongly advise against giving them the WPA/WEP key unless you have complete trust in them. They would need the Router admin password in order to make any further changes so this definitely should not be given out.
