i keep having the site im viewing close down on me, it says internet explorer has a problem and must close down, it happens whatever im looking at, and its soooo annoying, anyone any ideas what i can do to stop it please, many thanks

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.As I see it you are given two options ,report it or don't report it.One goes into the possible reasons why this is happening and the other takes you back to the desktop and ends your internet session.How frostyspecs can just "carry on regardless " I don't know. I was plagued with this irritation until I went in to in to Internet properties/manage add ons and disabled few things in there as there were apparently too many. It's a bit trial and error finding the ones you can disable but you can always enable them.Id did the trick for me.
The Microsoft support pages offer several suggestions relating to this problem. However, the possible solutions vary depend upon your operating system and the version of Internet Explorer you're using, so I'll simply suggest that you try your own search for information here:

Alternatively, if the problem is fairly recent, trying running System Restore to take your computer back to a date before the problem arose.
Anyway, most of the 'regulars', here in AB's Technology section, gave up on Internet Explorer ages ago. We nearly all use Firefox. It's free. It's more stable. It's more secure. It's more flexible. Pages load far, far quicker. Why not give it a try?:
