Full Stops

Hi
I have lost my full stops. Each time I press it , in Word or Excel, I get a forward slash instead. I use Windows XP.
As you can see, I have no trouble with e mails. Any help please?

go to control panel ... check the language setting

I do have � sign, and the language is English. It's not in the keyboard either,because I used a spare one with th same result. Perhaps reinstalling Windows??

Dentech - recently this happened to me when my finger idled on the right shift key. Experiment with yours and see if that help. Make a note of what you press should in case other things change and you forgot what you did.

Nothing else is alterd. All that I noticed is that the delete key below the numbers on the right hand side of the keyboard has a full stop too. That also gave me a forward slash. The plot thickenes.

Thank you all for your help.
My son came today, had a look, and changed the keyboard to English USA, and guess what? it worked. No other key has been affected.
Lets hope that's the end of it.
