i have a 4 month old puppy still weeing inside the house, how can i stop this?

A puppy generally needs "to go" when it wakes up and after a meal or drink, as soon as the puppy wakes take it outside or to the desired area and wait, Giving a command such as "Pennies" or something appropriate, Give great praise when you have success, be patient and consistent and it will eventually "Click"

4 months is still very young to expect a pup to be clean all the time. You need to be vigilant, watch and listen. My pup now almost 10 months old squeeks when he needs to go out. He is now not needing to go out during the night although he does wake me just for a cuddle..

I find that it is best to keep the puppy in a crate. If you can't buy one a large box will do for starters. Put some old towels in the bottom of course clean and dry as needed. First thing in morming take puppy outside and stay with him/her until business is finished. then high praise. puppies have to go often. Best if you have a fenced yard. If not I find it better to use a harness rather than a colllar which can be bought at pet supply stores. Obedience training is worth it's weight in gold. Check around and find a good one. Above all be gentle. One can be gentle and firm a the sane time. Make any training happy and fun.

I agree with all the replies and at 4 months he/she is still a baby. Any 'telling off' will undoubtedly make matters worse, so always praise when he/she has done right and helping as much as you can along the way to show where is the right place is invaluable. Puppies take a lot of time and effort, but once they have learned the rules, having a dog is pretty easy and very fulfilling.

It will all come right in the end, honest.

Simple answer to ya question - everytime it moves put it out. when an 'accident' occurs tell the puppy NO and kick it out for a few mins. he/she will soon get the hang of it. and generally girls train better & quicker than boys!! i wouldnt recommend you lock it in a cage unless you are out or in bed and unable to see to the puppy.
