Recently I have been bombarded by unsolicited e-mails and by their headings they look as if they are of a sexual content.Is there any way these can be stopped without having to delete them one by one as they arrive???? Thanks!!!!

You can also take steps to protect yourself.

Use one email address only for your friends, family and business contacts.

Use another for trusted sites and a third for those you aren't sure about. They can all be managed in Outlook or any other pop site if you wish.

I agree with all the above. There's no way of stoping them, you just have to get an intelligent filter that can move them to your junk folder, out of your inbox, for you.

It's free and very good. What's more, it has the best spam filter available.

You have the choice of telling everyone your new address, or using Gmail to simply grab the email from your other accounts for you (and then putting everything through its own filters). The help files online for Gmail will tell you how, or if you fancy doing it then you can always ask on here for more help :)

Most free e-mail accounts only allow web-based access. As Fo3nix has indicated, GMail is the most popular service which allows you to use Outlook Express (or similar software).

Some people don't like GMail because of the way that it automatically scans your mail, in order to append advertising material:

I am very happy with gmail, and it collects all my email from my blueyonder addresses and other gmail addresses, exactly like Outlook, so it can all be managed in one place.

The spam filtering is excellent.
