Well, they're my favourite band and I've never ever thought "oh, that sounds like they're making reference to being gay". Drugs - yes. Gay - No.

So, unless I ask them personally, then that's my opinion.

Why do you ask? Is there a song or a line in particular that you're thinking that it is the case?

I expect you are right. There would have been some mention of it were they Homos. I just thought that calling oneself {oneself yet !} pink might have meant something. cheers. B.

Oh goodness! No no no, they came up with the name 'Pink Floyd' because one of the original members, Syd Barrett, was apparently inspired by 2 Blues artists called Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.

Do bear in mind that the band started over 40 years ago, and pink had no gay connotations whatever in those days. Dakota's right about the name origins.
