I need some help please. Who can tell me of a nice programe I can download to write letters. I want to find a template I can re-use, once I have set it up. I don't have anything, just "note pad"-- no "Word" programe. Id like something free of course. Please help

with so many different reasons for writing letters, I don't think one would act as a suit all template. Just try googling "letter templates for free" and are lots out there.

Thanks postdog, ive tried that but they all seem to be complicated to down load
don't download. Find one you like and then copy and paste.
OpenOffice is free and can do anything you want - you can set up templates if you want.

If it's just a word processor you want rather than a full office suite of programs, you could try AbiWord which can be downloaded from www.abisource.com/download/. I'd imagine it can do templates, though the import/export, tools and dictionaries are all listed as separate downloads from the basic word processor, so it isn't all wrapped up nicely as a single package
If any of the above proves difficult try Microsoft Works which you should have on your PC if you have virgin media.
