I'm more partial to white than red. What about you, What's your class in a glass?

I've always heard that a bottle of Chateux Neuf Du Pape is an excellent mid-level entry Red to try; can anyone recommend this?
I like Chablis too. Not really a white fan. White is more of a companion with food whereas Red can be drunk as a drink.
I've heard good things about Rose Sancerres. Rose has come on alot over the last few years.

The best wine is the wine that blows your socks off. And that's probably not the same one that the guy at the next table is enjoying. The question, as always, is "what works for me?" But look at it this way ... if you find a wine for 5 that you really enjoy, but that guy at the next table had to pay 100 to find one that he enjoyed, who's the mug?! (Oh no, wait, that other guy probably thinks he has "more refined taste, blahdy blahdy, blah". Well, he's probably the guy who's drinking the 20 bottle of water!). And when you find a bottle of wine that you've never heard of for 3, you buy it on spec, and it turns out to be fab, then you have discovered class in a glass.
