What happened crisgal? didn't hear about it.
The last news I heard was that she was downgraded from 'Critical' to 'seriously ill'. Still in a very poorly state.

i think it was yesterday
a three year old girl fell inbetween the escalators in the liverpool primark from the third floor.
She fell about 100 feet.
It took them a while to get her out.
The last I heard she had broken every bone in her little body and had internal injuries.
She was critical last night.
I haven't heard anything since x
Oh my god - that's terrible! How on earth did she manage to do that I wonder? Poor little thing. That's quite upset me!
snow.maiden, A toddler of around 2 yrs old managed to fall down the gap between the up and down escalators in a Primark Store. Apparently fell close on 100ft from the second floor to the ground floor. Store reopened today with the escalators working having been given the OK by health and safety. CCTV recordings are being studied to find out just what happened.
The report I saw was on AOL. It said she had only broken bones in her arm and leg which had been reset. She also had other internal injuries.
Oh god that makes me feel sick, I'm don't like escalotors anyway. Bless the poor child, hope she ok - xx
Oh bless the wee soul , how frightening for her and her family .
Question Author
personally, i don't take my kids into primark.
The one in blackpool is like a cattle market!
The one and only time I went, I had my 6 and 4 year old with me.
They were clinging on to me like mad!
I don't know if it was busy in the liverpool one. Apparantly it's their biggest store.

It's just awful.

.............................................little pause while I count my blessings x
Dear oh dear! A toddler of that age isn't very tall anyway, so goodness knows how that happened, but it's the worst thing I've heard of just lately.

Thanks for the update gen2.
I suppose that is "good" news really.
I can identify with that one crisgal. When mine were that age, they had reins on them if we went shopping in a town, simply because it only takes a couple of seconds to turn away, and then they can get lost in the crowd. Even so - like you, gen2's update seems to make things fractionally better, if you can say that, but it's still awful. Bless her.
first I have read about this. poor little girl

i know snow.maiden!
When my daughter was 3, she ran ahead into the lift of whsmiths. Before I could get there, the doors closed and it went down to the ground floor with only her in it!
I am convinced that my heart actually stopped that day.
I had a vision of her running out into the busy streets.
Luckily a member of staff had called the lift to the basement. She said she heard my screams from the third floor!
My heart would've stopped!!! You're the second person I've heard say that actually. The other person's child thought it was all wonderful - but I'm sure any parent'd have a fit that happened to theirs. Glad everything turnred out well, anyway!
Question Author
fanks - sniff - i'm okay now x
The report I heard said the child was riding on the handrail.
What was the mother doing when this happened and why wasn't the child in a harness?
wel, i was there when it all happened

me and my nan were standin at the bottom of the escaltor up to the 2nd floor and we heard a scream and just saw summin pink fly down past us and it was the little girl. the mum just kept screamin over and over and was in histerics.

I couldnt understand how she fell though coz there isnt a gap in the sides and they were realy high. But i think her mum was carrying her on the escalator and the lil girl grabbed hold of the sides which dont move so she was pulled out of her mums arms and fell over.

She is stable now though and i think she just broke her arm and leg and sustained internal injuries.

I hope shes okay.
