Is there a site where people offer short term stays eg when they are absent from their flat?

Liverpool hotels are fully booked, very expensive, or both!

Have you tried the official website of Liverpool. I always go to the site of the Tourist Board, and you can always get a link there. I booked up for 3 nights in York in this way, and got 3 nights in a �65 per night room all for �80. Think that they also do this in London so woud just google cheap b and b in Liverpool, and see what that brings up.

You could always try staying on the Wirral

Do check that the hotel is near a train station then you will be able to get into Liverpool quickly and easily.

We have booked a friendly B & B near L'pool.
I'd not thought of checking the tourist board site, as JonnyBoy suggested, and there was much of interest .I will definitely look there for future trips!
