2.5 auto deisel pajero changes 2 gears before 20 mph
then it just screems its head off At 40 mph and 3.000 revs drops into overdrive I dare not drive at more than 50 mph as it revs at 3.200 Is this normal can anyone help

this is not normal....pajero's are well known for automatic gearbox problems,and unfortunately it sounds like yours is well gone...but have an auto box expert check it out before you go replacing it....sometimes if your very lucky it can be as simple as changing the automatic transmission fluid..though this is rare...good luck:)

4th Gear has failed i had the same trouble, a recon gearbox is the only cure mine was �1400.00 plus vat from a company in Huddersfield good thing is they pick up and collect in the price.
