Would have also put Ollie Magern in, but he is lame and does not run. Vodka Bleu is another each way chance, and I work with a young boy called Simon, so have got to put him in. I usually do four horses each way for a couple of quid, so I have to find another. Most open race in years in my opinion. Some very good jumpers in there.
I won't be betting at all,I watched one year and after seeing them shoot a horse that had fallen I swore I would never watch it or bet on it ever again. I know all the arguments about the racehorse being a commodity and all that but it still seems cruel to me.The poor thing only had a broken leg that with treatment could have been fixed,I know it would never have raced again but someone could probably have offered it a home.
My hubby has a mate who owns a few betting shops and he has given us a two tips, I'm not very good at picking form as I usually go for what colour tops they wear, but I won last year using my method and came in third on my second choice!
Cloudy Lane and Snowy Morning seem to be talked about this year! - A lot win by accident though, don't think it can be all on form!

It is NOT easy to fix a horse with a broken leg.
A human with a broken leg can just down in bed most of the time, and take the odd walk, till it is fixed.
A horse can't lie down all the time, and with a broken leg cant get up and down on its own, so it has to be upright all the time in a harness.
The horse also has to be exercised while the leg is healing, which is a long and costly process.
If it was that easy to look after a hose with a broken leg I dont think they would shoot the horse so readily.

In fact read this and you understand WHY they shoot a horse with a broken leg.

Hope its just your answer that is lame and not the horse!
In the National often the best way to pick a winner is either by coincidence or just sticking a pin in the runners (not literally of course lol)and it seems that if we do get the snow thats forecast then Snowy Morning will be the 'housewives choice'.
I do hope Simon does well, as he is one of my choices.
