police cars go when they are pensioned off ?
You never see an elderly cop car, so where do they go ? If they are sold off at auction, how come we never see them on the highway or are they resprayed before they are sold ? Or are those go faster stripes and other pretty colours just stuck on ?

Yes they may have clocked up 200,000 miles but police cars are meticulously kept whilst on the road. They have to be!!!
I saw a Volvo T5 estate go for about �800 once, when the equivalent book price was around 7k!!!!.
On a related note, it is well worth visiting Police Auctions whereby they sell off unclaimed lost and stolen property but more importantly goods seized under "The Proceeds of Crime Act".
This means you can buy goods from wealthy criminals homes purchased via their ill-gotten criminal activity.

My friend bought two Rolex watches for about 5k when the street value was about 12K.
The good thing is the Police and their family are not allowed to go, so the public get the bargains.

hi miss j! i only drive ex police cars! every car i have ever owned was ex police and being from n.ireland..they were all bullet proofed,which was handy! there's an auction here that now and again holds ex government sales.
have to say that the best one i ever had was an ex special branch sierra 4x4,bullet proof and bomb proof(lots of kevlar pannels underneath) and tuned to the hilt..that car could really shift...till my mum killed it by crashing it into a bin lorry!
