Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

there's a director called Reed (Sir Carol) but I'm afraid I can't as yet work out the clue.

Is this crossword in the Independent on Sunday? I bought this paper today but I can't find it in my copy.

This is in Saturday's Indie - thus no. 6699.
I put in REED due to director Carol Reed and thought there must be some connection between Blair as Eric Blair (George Orwell) and Reed backwards i.e. DEER, probably twice - deer deer. Apart from finding the Isle of Jura is also known as Deer Island (he stayed there when writing) I haven't found a solid link though.

Elsewhere (15^2) it has been spotted that the director is Nicholas ROEG and the link to "Blair" is indeed Eric Blair as George Orwell, because backwards ROEG appears twice in GEOR GE ORwell
(I think we are allowed to say O M G !!!)
