I want to apply for university to start in 2009, im an older independant student when do I look to start my application, and when do the open days take place for the 2009 start date??

univeristies hold different open days, you should check indivisual university's website and there should be information for perspect student.. same the application start date and deadline can be big different between unis, if you apply for spring enrollment 2009, you may can apply now, but if for september 2009 enrollment, a bit early to apply now.

if its for a bachelors degree UCAS will have a number of deadlines... when i applied i submitted my application around november time (ie for you that would be this nov). google for UCAS to find their deadlines.

individual unis will have info about opendays... i suspect these will begin september/october time but you will have to look at their websites to find out.
