Hi, my daughter aged 3 has been offered a full time nursery place at our local school but we had planned on her going just mornings and staying at home with her mum in the afternoons, any advice would be gratefully appreciated,
Hi Tracy, have you checked with the school to fond out exactly what they mean by full time? Usually, school nurseries offer morning or afternoon sessions. Full time can mean every morning or every afternoon and not necessarily mean all day like they do in day nurseries.
Speak to the school and let them know you are just wanting the morning sessions. They wont make you take more than you want.
like Psychick says a full time place at a school nursery does only mean morning or afternoon not all day. Your daughter won't start full time school until she is 4 or 5. My 3 year old goes to morning school and loves it. The 2 and a half hour session is just the right time for a child her age to be away from mum and because it is every day she has the continuity of the same routine.
no dont send your baby. every min u spend apart u never get back. just enjoy ur time 2gether. i should no i got 6 wonderful kid's. it's hard work but i would not change a bit of it.
