I believe they moved the Flowers production to the Boddingtons plant which itself is now under threat of closure.
I think you're right, jenny. I seem to remember 'Flowers' becoming part of Whitbread, before they sold their brewing interests to Interbrew.
I remember it turning from a cask ale to a keg-only bitter and then in cans. I can't honestly remember seeing it within the last couple of years.
The big brewers effectively buy the trading name and just slap it on to some large-scale industrial brew, attempting to recreate years of traditional brewing and style developement with a few chemicals and flavour enhancers.
Thanks for your help, I will try the web address and see what transpires. There is an indipendent pub not too far from where I live that sells Flowers Original and Flowers IPA both hand pulled, I will ask next time I'm there if they can help with cans or bottles, my local Brewers Fair doesn't sell it unfortunatly.
