Does anyone have any views on the suitability of a KLIPPAN sofa for use in a conservatory/ family room?

They seem to be extremely popular but the low price is making me ask.  Many thanks.

We bought the 2 seater, chair and rocking chair for our conservatory and they are perfect. We also got an extra set of the covers.

They were so easy to put together and are extremely well made. Excellent value for money and something different than the usual cane

The Klippan sofa was introduced in 1980. I live in Sweden now and a number of people have this style of sofa here. It seems very hard-wearing. I think that the fact that this model is still being sold speaks for itself. The founder of Ikea, Ingvar Kamprad, has always aimed to produce decent furniture at affordable prices. He is now one of the richest men in the world but you would never guess it. he does not flaunt his wealth and in fact he wanders round ikea stores all over the world and staff often do not recognise him (even here in Sweden). There was a TV programme on here tonight about him - it was very interesting. He has never forgotten his working class roots.

Funny you should ask this question.  We have just bought 2 sofas from the Ektorp range and I was also worried about the price. Are they going to wear too quickly?

I have an IKEA fitted kitchen, it is ten years old, has took some damn hard wear and still looks as good as the day it was fitted, it only cost �400!!  IKEA is quality at low prices its that simple!

One can sit in comfort and slouch about.

Two can sit in comfort on them, but slouching for two is a bit cramped.  Two slouching plus cat = no go.

Thats the only negative.  Apart from that, they are really worth the money.  My best buy from IKEA
