Aaarrrggghhh!!!

There is something wrong with my other pc! I turned it on this morning to find there is nothing on it! Everything has gone! I don't understand how it has happened, it is not connected to the internet, so it can't be a virus. No one else had access to it so nobody else could have done anything. It was ok the other day, just turned it on to have a quick look at my bills list in my documents, to see what else I had left to pay (I have a list of alll my direct debits and their dates as I'm very forgetful!) then turned it back off. When I turned it on today, nothing! I do have some of my files backed up, but not my most recent ones. I'm gutted, there were some really special photos on there that I have now lost. I want to cry. Just wish I knew why everything has disappeared! A very miserable daffi x

Oh daffi hun , I can't help you as to why it's lost all your data , that's really strange . What a shame your finance on it . The photos are the worse thing for you sweetie , I do hope you can get it sorted by someone who can tell you what to do. xxxxx

Daffo...........what exactly do you see when you switch on..............does Windows load?

Yep, windows loads. It looks like the original screen that the pc had when it was first bought.

Daffs..........so windows is loading default settings, and "forgetting" to load your settings, preferences etc.........I really can't remember the names of the files it should be loading................put this in "computers"................one of those guys will know.............sorry I can't help :o)
