Used to have this single, dunno if it was an A- or B- side, sung by a 60s US group with female leads (sounded like The shirelles or The exciters) only lyrics I can recall :

hey mr saxman, everybody's waitin' for you

hey mr saxman, show em what you gonna do

(somthing else)... you cant go wrong,

with a yak yak yakety yak all night long

hey mr saxman play that yakety yak

...and No, it isn't yakety yak by the coasters!

any ideas?

The track was by Boots Randolph, released as a single in February 1964.  He was also behind the original Yakety Yak saxaphone sound so this was obviously a continuation of the theme.  I can't find out who the singers were, seem to have just been session singers, but if you look for the Boots Randolph single, they'll be there.
I thought the sax on Yakety Yak was played by King Curtis.
