I had it done 9 years ago. It wasn't a pleasant experience but I love the results. I had no pain at all. After the op they told me to go home and have a lie down and try to get some sleep (which wasn't a problem having had been so nervous the night before that I got little sleep) and when I woke up 2 hours later I had perfect sight. I'm surprised anyone gets pain as they give you plenty of drops to take afterwards, but people are different.
I would highly recommend it.

Perhaps Hitler has been tied up and only has one digit free and is looking for help!
Thanks Meglet, I am definitely going to go for the assessment. I have 'dry eyes' and have been told that I would need to get drops to counteract the effects of the laser surgery, but agree that it would be worth it.

What you dont hear about is the 100's of people turning up at Moorfields eye NHS eye clinic in London , to post op issues fixed.
It seems that these guys are making big bucks from doing the laser treatment and guess who pays when it goes wrong ? Yes the tax payer via the NHS.
Please do take care when selecting a clinic for the laser treatment. These are your eyes we are talking about ...not having a tatoo or your ears peirced .

Hi haysi. I think the good results outweigh the bad. My mother in law's had both eyes done, and apart from a little discomfort (no actual pain), she was fine after a few days. The thing is, she still has to wear glasses, which puzzles some people, but at least her vision is pretty good now, whereas before, when she had cataracts, things would've only got worse. x
