He may have scratched the surface, I did this a week ago, drive him to A and E, they will examine his eye, and put in some anaesthetic drops, this will make him feel a lot better.
Is there any sticky gunge on a morning? if so it may be bacterial conjunctivitus, this can be treat without seeing a gp! You can buy antibiotic drops from any chemist. Personally if it was me i wouldnt take any chances i would definatley visit gp, optition or your local A & E. good luck!!!
Please take him to A & E or his GP. Eyes are so precious dont leave it any longer.
Any outcome on this?
A friend of mine had aimilar problem recently - this turned out to be Iritis .
