Having watched and studied the 1967 Patterson-Gimlin film I have become quite interested in the whole Bigfoot/Sasquatch thing.
Even after 40 years with vast amounts of digitization and frame by frame analysis nobody can show that the film is a hoax.
The most striking thing about the creature is the way it walks, a motion that no human can reproduce.

While I believe that it is possible for such a creature to exist undisturbed in the remote regions of the Pacific North West of the USA I can't help thinking that if there really ware Bigfoots' roaming around they would have sent the military out there with heat seaking cameras and other hi-tech equipment to:

a) verify their existence
b) capture/kill one specimen for forensic examination
c) look for tracks/droppings/dead bodies etc

What are your views? Fact or fiction?

Fiction and badly done at that.
Fiction of course. Here's the first bigfoot's confession:

Sorry for the "proof" i gave, i doubt his credibility myself.

Thanks for replies.
You seem quite sure the film is a hoax but how do you account for the creature's height, calculated to be in excess of 7ft also it's bulk.
I suppose you could take a 7ft basketball player and get him to wear an ape suit.
However, when you watch the film and observe its stride and motion etc the odds would appear stacked massively against a hoax.
Muscle and finger movement can be seen in the 1967 film.
To be a hoax surely it is too elaborate for the period.
If it really is a hoax, it's the best I've ever come across.
This makes a convincing read
