Does anyone have experience of guided tour holidays to Egypt? Any companies that are good / worth avoiding?

I went with Voyages Jules Verne and had a great time.  The trip was well planned and excellent value for money.

There are loads of good firms who will do guided tours it mainly depends on what you want to spend and the type of holiday you have in mind ie, backpacker - posh traveller? I have to say that although Voyages Jules Verne stay at good places and cover some good things they are NOT at all cheap. You will always be able to get as good a holiday for less. They also tend to use flights with stop off or poor timing to lower their costs. Suggest Kuoni for high end of the market or for the lower end market (gets you cloder to the county) try acacia or intrepid which have loads of options available. Ask at travel agents such as travelbag or STA for more info. 'Normal' travel agents are quite poor in organising and offering information of a holiday like this.
