My cat wont stop sleeping

Hi, my 14year old cat wont stop sleeping! She is only awake for about 4 or 5hours a day, should I be worried or is it just old age? x

this is about right. cats seem to sleep more as they get older as they dont need to expend as much energy.

I have three oldies and they do sleep a lot, mind you when food is on the go they are the fastest wide awakers you could ever meet. lol.g.

my mums cats the same sleeps alot but the moment she gets up to go to the kitchen hes up and thru the door before her

everyone is right its nothing to do with old age althuogh it is gettin a bit old but dont worry theres nothing wrong my cat sleeps alot and she is only about 2 yrs old

My cat is 16 and she sleeps constantly!! Only wakes up for a toilet trip or food and to chase other cats away from peering through the cat flap!!! But cats do naturally sleep for 16 hours a day! Lucky pussies!!!

hiya! ours was 18.5 when he passed on to the great kitty litter box in the sky.
Towards the end he slept non stop, again only waking to fed.
sometimes we would wake him just so he went to the loo.
how do they cross there paws that long?
he would escape and hide to avoid detection!
at night when we put him out he went and slept in the old peoples nursing home just down the bottom of the garden! ah dear poor old numbs!
