What browser are you on ?

IE7 and Firefox have the option to open a page on another "tab" so that may fix your problem.

One thing you could try is to right click on the original link and select "Open in new window".

This will open the new page in a second browser window so when you close it down and go back to the original browser window it "should" still work.

In IE7 you can right click and select "open in new tab" (and I guess you can do this on Firefox as well)
or possibly you have a "clicker" (seriously!)

used on some websites so that the first click initiates a popup ... if you have your blocker switched on .. nothing happens

try double clicking on the next link (just a thought)
