If you have sensitive skin it will leave a red mark which will take ages to fade. On this type of skin scratches, etc. will leave scars which take ages to fade as well. This was told to me by my GP. I don't personally think you have anything wrong at all, but I do still think that if you are worried you should have a word with your GP.
I read that if you consume enough Vitamin C, your skin will heal very fast like it is supposed to, and you won't get scars at all. But you have to have some every day, and it may be too late to start taking it "after the fact". Before you ever get another scratch, you might want to start taking it now! There are lots of fruits & veggies that have V-C if you don't like orange juice (I don't); apple juice has plenty of it.
Very recent studies have shown that Vitamin E is dangerous in large amounts, so be careful with that one.
