due to the miracle of science, paper has two sides

Take a thin strip of paper, turn it a half twist and fix the ends together with sellotape. You now have a mobius strip - it only has one side.
No try cutting it down the middle with scissors along its length prepare for a few surprises.

and it is by reason by being one sided also non orientable

Actually, paper has six sides. The fact that the edges are not very thick is immaterial, they do exist. A piece of paper is actually a cuboid. A shadow has only one side and a reflection has only one side and my wife's arguments have only one side, but a piece of paper? no.
