3 Answers
got myself a fancy shmancy mp doodah, and want to listen to the books I never get chance to read.
What's the best way of getting them?
Is any site particularly better than another?
How much should i expect to pay?
Thank you in advance x

http://www.audiobookcollection.com/
http://www.wfhowes.co.uk/
http://www.edisure.com/~ulverscroft/uk/ukindex .html
The last one, you'll probably recognise as the company that produces large print books, but audiobooks are a big part of their business.
Audiobook titles aren't that cheap - you can pay upwards of forty or fifty quid a title for some of the longer books (although there are many that cost less). What you might want to look into is the possibility of borrowing them from you local library - far cheaper. More libraries are starting to buy them in mp3 format these days, so it won't be long before the shelves are full of them.

www.audible.co.uk is great if you just want to download them. They do various subscription packages.
I second saxy_jag's comments about libraries. I buy audiobooks for the library authority I work for and unabridged ones generally cost in the region of 40-70 and we rent them out for 1.50 so you'll definitely save money.
