Problems setting up WPA-PSK
4 Answers
I am trying to set-up my PDA for secure access to my router but I cannot get it to work. If I disable security I can connect my PDA to the router and use internet and access email with no trouble at all, but when I enable WPA-PSK the device connects to the router fine but I cannot use internet or email. This is really annoying and nothing have tried and no end of searching on Google has provided me with a suitable resolution - other than to disable security which I do not want to do. My PDA is an HTC Touch running Windows Mobile 6 and my router is a Netgear DG834GT.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I had no problems locating and connecting the new laptop wirelessly to the router and I also have a nintendo DS and Wii with internet browser and they all happily connect wirelessly (using WEP encryption because the Nintendo devices do not support anything better). My HTC Touch on the otherhand shows the new router SSID but states that it is unavailable and refuses to connect - why on earth would this be, given the temperamental nature of the connection with the previous router I can only presume that as usual it is a microsoft issue - I am not too fussed about resolving now as I have a perfectly good network running with my other wireless devices, but it would be nice to get to the bottom of this problem.
