Sorry to sound thick, but what are the '' add this name and that name to this Q'' for at the bottom of the page when answers are given?

They are links to social bookmarking sites. The idea is that when you find something interesting, funny or such like, you post a link to one of those sites.

The readers of those sites then see the link and click on it, the best or most interesting links become popular. Thus generating more traffic for the site.
