Not drastic that's why I can't believe it but it was on the dr's screen ! I cut down on choccies, ice cream and cheese, but I don't exercise. Think they made a mistake ...
No, smurfchops - it can happen, in the same way that you can reduce sugar levels quite quickly, but then you have to stick to a careful diet, so as not to let the levels rise again. Well done!
Yes I eat fish, lots of fruit and veg but I still love my snacks, like a biccie with a cup of tea and a couple of squares of Cadburys in the evening, although I don't eat dessert any more if I go out for a meal and I have cut out sugar in tea ... I really should take more exercise though. And even tho I've cut down on fattening foods I haven't lost an ounce ! Very annoying.
Do not get paranoid over a high total cholesterol level. Cholesterol is divided up into HDL ( high density lipoproteins) or GOOD cholesterol and LDL (low density lipoproteins) BAD cholesterol. HDL is good for your health wheras LDL are bad for your health. So if your total cholesterol is high, it might not be too bad as it may be composed of HDL, which is good for you. You can ask your GP to have a breakdown of HDL/LDL
Sorry smurfchops, your GP will clearly tell you what you need to do. Not the end of the world though BUT 3.3 is still within NORMAL limits, and I cannot understand your concern.
