1. Bird, once sporty, takes a weapon.
2. It's 3.50 next.

4. The girl met John's love.
Unfortunately the number of letters are not given.
Any help would be gratefully received.

Illingworth quiz but this month's I find particularly hard.
In answer to your query: No. 2 - sorry I haven't got this.
No. 6 - An Aber came up with the suggestion Trilby, i.e.
3 = tri, 50 = l and next = by. Quite clever really!
No. 16. Again, another kind Aber suggested Plimsolls
which I think is very good. No. 35 - I've put Flip Flops,
key = f, body part = lip, loud = f, and cuts = lops. I can't guarantee it's right but it seems to fit the bill.
Same as you I want No. 2 and also Nos. 15, 20, 21, 23 and 32. Back to the drawing board!!!

smouse - Thanks for your clues. Regarding No. 34 -
No, I haven't got tu-tu although I can see where you are coming from. I've put Tights as I presumed the opposite of one meant clue No. 1, which was Slacks. Ah well, you pays your money and you takes your choice!!
smouse - thanks for your clues, I'll put my thinking cap on now. Re No, 34 - no, I haven't got tutu although I can see where you're coming from. I've put Tights as I took it the clue was referring to No. 1 answer (Slacks). Now you've got me wondering!!!. Ah well, back to try to work out your clues. Thanks again.
