I made the big mistake a few years ago of introducing frog spawn from another pond into my little garden pond and every year since then they come back in their hundreds to have noisy orgies in it. i want to re design the pond and really need to try and stop this invasion but I dont want to hurt them as its entirely my fault in the first place.. But I need to do something..is it possible to relocate them? Advice would be gratefully received.

The only thing you can do, tho some people disagree with it, is try to get all the frog spawn and relocate it hoping that gradually as the older frogs die off, the numbers visiting your pond decrease. However as stated some people disagree on the grounds that it can spread desease and that it can introduce frogs to waters here they dont normally live. Still its better then destroying unwanted spawn which is the other alternative
What is stopping you redesigning the pond? Can you wait a while? The orgies should be over soon, if not already. You can net the spawn out and chuck it. However the frogs are likely to remain near or in the pond for a while- but they dont actually need a pond! Choose a wet day and net them and let them go in some nice soggy wet grass. They will be happy enough there.
Alternatively wait for late Autumn when they will be gone.
You are never going to get rid of them. I dug a pond some ten years ago. It was found by frogs who bred in it the following spring. Same with a pond I dug at a scout hut. Not enough places for them in towns particularly so they will make use of any pond!
