With-held Numbers

Is it possible to trace with-held numbers? Either by a phone cheat to view while it's ringing, or through a call tracing service? If so, has anyone any details on this? Thankyou x

I had this problem a while back.  I'm with BT, and they refused to trace the calls because they said I didn't have a legitimate reason for my request.....an hour later after reporting nuisence calls to the police and i had a crime number, gave it to BT and.....thanks very much, calls traced in no time and a stop put to the sad little *******
