Novatech 259KI1 LCDs

HI.
I have a Novatech laptop.Model number 259KI1 and the screen is broken.
Could anyone tell me what other Makes/Models of screen are compatible with my laptop as i'm finding it difficult to find one for the Novatech.

I can't find any info on what screen that laptop uses, if you can get the screen out there will probably be the makers name and part number on it, if you can post that someone may be able to find a suitable part. generally speaking you can only replace like for like on latop screens as the inverters are matched to specific screens

don't get me going about novatech.

to make a short usable life shorter ... novatech specialise in cheap components .... which generally means short lifespans. while this may have nothing to do with a broken screen ... what it does mean is that almost certainly the screen will be absolutely bog standard.

unlike the big sellers who design their own components ... nova will use standard sized components screwed to a standard size chassis
in this case probably a 15.4" WXGA TFT Screen (1280 x 800)

(might as well check with novatech - you might be pleasantly surprised .... or if the laptop stays in ... a lcd screen will (could) cost less than �100

Hi.
I have the screen out and the only thing I can see on it is 'CHUNGHWA' and some stickers with what looks to be Serial Numbers and Barcodes.

you should start by boobling the codes.

but also do contact novatech ... they might sell you a screen at a decent price ... if not unless you can find a counter to cry on ... whatever you buy just might not fit ...

Hi.
I've tried everything to no avail.
It's probably quite a common screen too, but it's turning into a bit of a pain so thanks everybody for the help but i'm going to leave it as is and try to get another laptop.
