Who are better?

I have a bitter fight at school to support one of my favourite bands who are Radiohead. I would start talking about them and then one of my friends, would but in and ask are they better than Iron Maiden. Now I know that people have different tastes to music, and I know that they are in two different sets of rock, but I have one simple question who are more popular and genuinly better? I think that Iron Maiden are two old and have bitten the dust what do you think?

Iron Maiden have played at bigger venues than Radiohead amd have done more world tours.

so the correct answer to your question is to agree with you and not present a reasoned debate ?

one day will you suddenly stop and think 'actually he's right ! iron maiden are great' and then alter your music taste ? no - because you have your tastes and he has his.

personally i would go for radiohead but then they aint that special either !

IRON MAIDEN.  No comparison.  Which, as andy pointed out right from the start, is the problem with this if-you-don't-agree-with-me-you're-wrong type 'question'.

Iron Maiden too old?  Nah.  I saw them this time last year for the first time at the NEC and they seriously rock!  On the other hand, I saw Radiohead at the NEC a few years ago and that was a hell of a gig aswell.  Both very good bands (both of which have churned out some pap aswell!).  More popular would definitely be Iron Maiden (they are huge in America).  Genuinely better... personally I think Radiohead are a lot more versatile and more intelligent musicians.  BUT Bruce Dickinson (lead singer of IM) is an airline pilot, which is pretty cool.  Today I'd choose Iron Maiden (it's Friday, and Friday's rock!) but Sunday I'd probably choose Radiohead (depressed due to the impending Monday).
