Border/edge/fence for new veg garden
12 Answers
I have recently made a new vegetable patch however due to a pesky puppy, I need to find some kind of a border/fence/edge which allows adult humans to step over but prevents cheeky canines from hopping over!
The perimeter of the veg garden is approx 80ft.
Has anyone got any ideas how I could do this cheaply and effectively?
Thanks

I've got it sorted. Went to local pound shop where they were selling 2.5 metres of quite nice wire fencing for a few quid. I couldn't get enough to do the whole job but I put up what I had this evening and it seemed to work well. The pesky puppy seemed quite happy to walk along the sides and didn't consider jumping over. Although she did walk to the end of the fence and then wander in on the soil when it stopped! Gotta get back to the shop on Monday for more!
Oh she is an out and out crossbreed/heinz/mongrel ruth. Even the vet isn't sure what she is!! She is a rescue dog. We got her when she was about 6 months old and she is approx 10 months old now. Hopefully this link will work to show you a photo of her.

She absolutely is a complete ragbag phylkat! (very good description)
Don't think she is likely to get much bigger but even if she does, I'm hoping the training will have kicked in by then to stop her from jumping over!
She looks like butter wouldn't melt in that photo but she can be a proper terror!
Feel free to suggest what you think her parentage might be - the vet has (quite half-heartedly) said that she might have wire-haired terrier in her but whatever else is a mystery!
